We are a managed service provider based in North Shields, looking after the IT for businesses across the North East and beyond. Since 2011 we have grown from a one-man operation into a team of engineers, consultants and support specialists working with clients from small charities to global enterprises. Why work for us
We are small enough that your work is visible and big enough to give you proper technical challenges. In a single week you might configure a Microsoft 365 tenant, troubleshoot a network at a school and talk a client through a problem on the phone. Our clients span education, manufacturing, healthcare, legal, recruitment and charities, so you build genuine breadth rather than learning one sector and stopping there.
What we look for
We hire on attitude first. Our clients tell us we are responsive, honest and easy to deal with, and that only works if the people behind it are the same. If you can explain a technical problem without making someone feel daft, you are most of the way there. Beyond that we look for people who take ownership of a ticket, ask questions when they are not sure, and want to keep learning.
Apprenticeships and early careers
Developing young talent has been part of how we work since the beginning. Apprentices and graduates start on the helpdesk alongside experienced engineers, learn the fundamentals properly and progress as fast as they are ready to. Our own Technical Director joined in 2013 and worked his way up, so this is not a token scheme.
Training and life at One IT
We are accredited with Microsoft, Google Workspace, ESET, VEEAM and TP-Link, and we support the team to gain the certifications that go with them. Our office is in Northumberland Square, a couple of minutes from the Metro, and we are on a TRUE journey to Net Zero with Green Acres. We also offer a generous holiday allowance, company pension and free gym membership.
