Keen to start a family and put down roots in the North East, Richard decided to take on his biggest challenge yet – launching his own business. Knowing that preparation was key, he went on to gain a formal qualification: a degree in Computer Science from Northumbria University. This, combined with his practical experience and industry knowledge, provided a strong foundation for One IT Support, which quickly gained traction and secured key clients and contracts from the outset.
While Richard’s role in the business has naturally evolved, his commitment remains unwavering. He continues to share his knowledge and invest time in both his team and clients. He’s passionate about building a business with real people at its heart – one with strong values and a reputation for genuinely supporting those it serves.
When he’s not in front of a computer, Richard can usually be found outdoors. He’s a nature enthusiast and enjoys fishing, hiking, walking, kayaking, paddleboarding and mountain biking. His energy and outlook are a constant source of inspiration to the whole team – get out there and do it! We’re excited to see what his next adventure will be.

Piers’ ambition started at a young age when at only 16, he became a pseudo-director of a cybercafe, where his role involved providing MSP type services including IT support and networking installations. Upon joining One IT Support his knowledge and expertise enabled the company develop its business support services.
Piers is passionate about learning how things work and is a regular volunteer at PC Gaming events. When he gets the chance, Piers likes to trade computers for performance cars, taking part in track days and road trips all over the country. He is also an avid supporter of the British Hen Welfare Trust and is very passionate about his pet chickens!

Technology is a career and a hobby for Josh, who uses his downtime to hone his IT skills and recently built a website for the gaming community he’s affiliated with.

As our Digital Design Lead, he ensures client websites are on-brand, targeted, and ultimately designed to build business online – delivering the best return on investment.

Working in the field and on the customer services helpline, Richard’s favourite task is setting up the cabling in an empty shell ready for VoIP and Wi-Fi services.
Richard also mentors the junior field engineers, and his love of IT means he often takes his work home with him, keeping up to date with the latest technology in his spare time.
In a former life, he was a pyrotechnics engineer setting the Queen Elizabeth II launch fireworks display at Leith Docks in Edinburgh.
